In a departure from the usual desert scenes I paint, I felt inspired by this beautiful day at Park City early in the ski season. I always thought “bluebird days” referred to the skies, but maybe it refers to the snow too. I couldn’t stop staring after the realization that the shadows in the sunlight were a brilliant blue too.
